Only 10 more days before Stephanie is reunited with Ryan who is back in Iowa selling DishNetwork. The wedding plans are coming along great and Steph is moving into her & Ryan's apartment this week. She is so excited and soooooo in love!
Here is our happy "Junior" in High School. School starts next week and Briana is this years Junior Class President, Cheerleader, Dance Team Captain, and the lead in the Musical....she's smiling now...but I have a feeling she's going to be stressed out! We are so proud of her...isn't she gorgeous???

22 years of of happiness!
We celebrated our 22nd Wedding Anniversary with a white water rapid rafting trip down the Payette River. We had a blast! I think we are ready to invest in some rafts, canoes or kayaks and continue with this new sport! The weather was perfect, the company great and the water refreshing and beautiful! We spent about 6 hours on the river with a lunch break on the side of the river. Here are some pictures of our adventure. Briana commented that we didn't take any of us going through the rapids....I had to laugh and tell her it was because we were paddling or holding on for dear life! We could only get the camera out when things were calm! teehee....

Stephanie & Ryan's Wedding Proposal
On July 23rd Ryan flew Stephanie out to Spokane to meet his family. Ryan comes from a family of three. He has an older brother named Russ who is married to a girl from Fruitland named Taryn. They recently had their first child - a beautiful girl named Claira. Russ is in the military and they live back east at the present time. Ryan is the middle child and he has a sister named Candace who is Stephanie's age. Ryan's parents names are Steve and Bev and they are both converts to the church. Bev is a pediatric nurse and Steve works in the computer industry. Stephanie absolutely LOVED his family!
Ryan took Stephanie to the Nishinomiya Gardens in Spokane Sunday evening. They danced under the Gazebo and Ryan sang her favorite song to her from the movie My Best Friend's Wedding - "The way you look tonight" and then dropped to his knees and proposed. Stephanie says it was the most romantic thing she has ever experienced!
Ryan was sneaky and had found out from Vanessa and one of Steph's girlfriends the ring she had wanted and had purchased it when he was up for Vanessa and Ben's wedding. So, you can imagine Steph's shock when he pulled out the ring she had been eyeing for quite some time but had never told him or showed him!
Although there was no video going for this engagement...here are a few photos of the ring, the happy couple afterwards and the beautiful gardens they were at! Enjoy!

Honeymooners in Texas

Have you ever heard of Medeival Times? Well, it's right next to our hotel, so Ben decided it would be fun to spend some extra money and go. It was so much fun. At first I felt like I was surrounded by almost a thousand band geeks, but then it got better. Ha! We walked around a torture museum...they sure did use PSYCHO things back in the day. I took a picture of a "head crusher"...yikes! We wore crowns and ate the food with our hands. We had soup, 1/2 chicken (each), ribs, potato, garlic bread, and an apple cinnamon pie for dessert. It was TONS of food, and really yummy. We watched a "tournament" from the knights. There were 6 knights and we set in 6 sections to cheer on our knight. Ben and I were from the "Kingdom of Navarra" and we cheered for the yellow knight, who got killed by a huge ball and chain. Haha! Anyway, here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Weiser Reception - July 15, 2006
The reception was absolutely perfect here in Weiser. We had an amazing time with all of our friends in this beautiful Bed and Breakfast Victorian house. A big thanks to our friends and owners of the Broderson House - Bart & Rosa Bowling.

Roadtrip 2006
We just returned home from an exciting roadtrip with our future son Ben and of course Vanessa, Briana, Stephanie and her friend Brittany! We picked everyone up in Provo and then stopped in Vegas and then San Diego! We had our "ups" and "downs" and I can honestly say there was never a dull moment! All in all it was lots of fun and we just LOVE our family and our crazy life! Here are a few pics for all to enjoy! (Even though Ryan wasn't with us, I threw one in of him & Steph)

Briana achieves Academic Award
Briana was presented with a Academic Achievement Award at the Nagel Beverage Academic Achievement Banquet held April 24, 2006. Pepsi puts on a banquet for all of the Weiser High school students who maintain a 3.5 gpa for 3 consecutive semesters. They are invited to a sit down dinner along with their parents. We are so proud of Briana and her high achievement!

Benessa...The Engagement!
On Saturday evening March 25th, Ben Rucker proposed to Vanessa and she said "YES!" He brought her home to her apartment which to her surprise was decorated with 2 dozen red roses, rose petals scattered about, candles lit everywhere with Frank Sinatra singing in the background. Stephanie, Ryan, and their friend Brittany had decorated the apartment and were hiding the hallway with Ben's puppy "Cramer" which had Vanessa's ring and a sign around his neck that said "Will you marry Ben?". When Vanessa came into the apartment, Stephanie let Cramer out into the living room and he ran to Vanessa. Brittany was hiding behind the couch and got it all on video-tape. Ben's brother Nate and his wife Syd were also hiding in the back! The video shows tears from both...how sweet! If I can figure out how to post it, I will do so soon. They celebrated the night with Martinelli's and Cheesecake! Briana and I arrived on Sunday and will stay most of the week! Let the wedding planning begin!! They have a temple date of Saturday July 1st in the Salt Lake Temple at 10:00 a.m. with a garden reception later on in the evening in Provo. Details will follow soon!
